I am sure that you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Well, I made these a couple months ago and donated them to a drive one of the LimeLight Design Team members was hosting for "pink" BCA items. She donated them all to a local support chapter. Another beachy LO!

Another layout to share real quick- I made this with a ONE DOLLAR paper pack from Target! I cut the sand pail and shovel from the Life's A Beach Cartridge on my Cricut. Like I said before, in my vacation scrapbooks, I focus on getting as many pictures as I can and being practical. I don't care about winning awards or being published with these LO's, I just want them to serve the purpose in my scrapbooks! (Kinda like clothes I guess, PJ's are practical and and evening gown has a special occasion!)

Jamaica- oooo I wanna take ya.....

I know I promised last week some layouts, well one page of this you have seen before, but the other I finished while my sister was visiting and scrapping with me back in September! This layout uses the Calypso line from Bo Bunny and there are those cute fan flowers I showed you how to make last week! This was in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in January!

Housekeeping notes :)

Hola! Just a couple things real quick. ONE- Several of you loved the paper I used in the bookmark earlier today. There is no ribbon, JUST paper! I cut it into strips! How cool! The papers are American Craft's County Fair Collection and they are only $.60 a 12x12 sheet in the Die Cuts R Us store (sale of 40% off!!!) So, head over and pick them up if you likes and tell her I sent ya :)

Good news- all card swap and image girls- you should all have your packages by the first of the week!!! SO exciting! I have learned a few things. Some of you didn't dsend postage, so no envelopes with cards, etc. So, if you didn't send envelopes with your cards, you aren't getting envelopes back since it wasn't fair for me to send your cards to others w/o envelopes. If you didn't send postage, I have fronted it THIS time only. I know we all get busy, so no worries! A couple of you didn't send enough postage, ranging from 10 cents to 75 cents, but I took care of it.

Local girls who participated in the swaps, email me and I will drop off your items or we can meet sometime! (Jana- I got your swap scrapbook pages, but I need you to email me please so I can get your info. No need in paying postage since we live in the same city!!!

Okay- That's all for now :) I know it was a lot. I have fought a migraine all day today and just now got to sit and post. I hope it will stay away so I can get soem crafty stuff done tonight :)

BUTTONS!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait any longer!!!!! So I showed you a hint yesterday of what I was doing, well, today I can show you what it was! I was making my very own buttons! I know some of you are pros, so be easy on me :) This was my first rodeo! I love the way some came out, but not so much others. It was a learning process for sure! Here are some of the ones I made:

Here is a card I made today using one of them! I am tired of paying out the yahoo for something really unique, so I am making my own from now on AND I will be offering them on my Etsy site for a VERY affordable price!

And a special for cardmakers- I have made some very nice and thin buttons for us! I hate weighing down a card with a thick button that calls for more postage, so I have made some thin ones to make it easy to attach to a card and no extra postage is required b/c of the weight! YEAH!!!! Hope you guys like them!!! Let me know and someone will win a set I am calling "80's Throwback" :)

Bright & Cheery!

Morning everyone! Hope this fines you rested and well! Hello to all the great followers!!! CHRIS- you are my 200th follower!!!! WELCOME!!!!!!:) Well, between sick little boy and my poor hubby being in so much pain, it's hard to hit the craft room, but you know I HAD to have something to show :) This stamp by Rubber Romance is one of my all time fav's! I just love the cool modern mommy-to-be. ("Jasmine is having a baby" - stamp name, and it's only $5!) SO, of course I used my copics from Die Cuts R Us (The copic sale is still going on over there by the way :) and the Martha Stewart paper, and the cute sentiment is also from Rubber Romance! I love the bright and cheery way it came out! Now I just need a friend of mine to get preggers so I can send it :)

Chalk that one up to......

I noticed that I hadn't pulled out my chalks in a while. So, I did! I got this stamped image in a swap I particpated in a while ago and I apologize for not know who or where it is from. (If you know, please leave me a comment and let em know! ) Swaps are a great way to get some new images you don't have to play with. I am waiting on the last participant's parcel which should be here any day to mail the stamps from my swap out! YEAH! Some challenges and a HINT!!!

Hmmmmmm.....Any guesses???? I promise pictures soon!!!!

Wanted to share a card I sat and made real quick the other night. The stamp set is one of the hostess sets from Stampin' Up . I added glossy accents to the circles to give the card and extra little something. I am entering it in the Pink Elephant challenge this week, even though it stretches the colors a little :), Pile It On Challenge, GingerSnap Creations, and Stamp with Sarah Kay.

OH- and I can't forget to tell you about my new toy:) My husband, even with a broken back, never misses a beat. I had no idea he had this waiting for me at home yesterday after I brought Matthew home from the doctor! I already have all my carts loaded onto it. Notice the super cool pink case :) He knows me too well!!!! I can't wait to play with it more and show you some of the exclusive cuts it came preloaded with! There is an adorable owl that is screaming my name!

Personal Update :)

I'll be posting this afternoon with a couple new things. We found out after a CT Scan today that Dustin's back is fractured. We feared this as they put him in PT last week and it seemed to worsen the recovery. (For the newbies- he had 2 discs replaced 2 months ago and has a condition called Marfan's syndrome) Surgeon is back in town from teaching in CA on Tuesday and we see him Wednesday. Also- Matthew and I were a the doctor at 7:30 this morning. He has a viral infection and his chest cough is causing him to wheeze. 2 meds with breathing treatments 4 times a day is where we are at on that. Good news is that I got his fever from 102.5 down today with only one dose of Motrin.
SO!- I will download my pics and post some new cards and such later today. I also have a couple winners I need to announce!

Oh- Quick prayers for my friend Amanda! She has a lot on her plate right now too and I know she'd appreciate any thoughts and prayers :) Love ya CPG!

Diva Mommy :) (why yes I am, lol) Updated at bottom!

Are you sick of new cards yet? lol. I promise some new layouts soon! Here is a new card from me from a new stamp from Rubber Romance Stamps. I just got it and I am IN LOVE with it! Such a cute stamp!

I love it because I have so many SUPER cute mom friends who seriously could pull this look off without a doubt. They are still Diva's in my eyes in all their "mommy" glory :) I colored the dress, then used Crystal Effects and added the Sugar Coating to make it sparkle. The DIVA sentiment is glittered to match.

This stamp is called Let's Walk the Baby and at $5 bucks it is a steal!

The DIVA sentiment is also from RRS! The size is perfect for stamping on ribbon or to use on cards! Speaking of stamping on ribbon, I have a great RRS card to show you soon using it! Remember to check out the RRS DT blog and become a follower!!

UPDATE: Questions have come in about crystal effects (I also use Glossy Accent too for the same effect)and sugar coating. (I linked to them so you could see them!) To use glossy accent or crystal effects you just cover the area you want to have the raised, glossy effect and when it drys, WAHLAH! For the sugar coating- cover area with glossy or glue then shake the glitter over the top and then shake excess off onto a sheet to return to the bottle. REMEMBER THOUGH- if you are using both on same project to glitter first then use the glossy/crystal so you only get glitter where you want!!!!

Copics & Wedding Pics!

So yuo know I have been telling you guys about the Copic Marker Sale at DCRU, well, you should check out the blog post by Jessica on the DT blog today about Copics and all their glory. She does a great job highlighting what they are and the difference practice makes. Thanks Jessica for the great info! I have some copics and I recently ordered some more from DCRU, but I am NO WHERE near great at it yet. I am still learning and practicing! I have to admit that the more I use them, the more I like them. I always loved coloring as a kid :) And even have been known to take coloring books and crayons on a long trip or two :) Before I leave you- here are a couple pictures from the wedding I was in this weekend.
