Back where I come from...

Good Sunday morning! This is still a scheduled post since I am at the hospital with Hubby. Sorry If I haven't had a chance to update anyone. That means no internet at the hospital :( Anyways- Jsut wanted to share a post that makes me happy. I love Kenny Chesney's music. Yes there are some not so serious songs, but most of his music I can apply to something in my life. (The reason country music is so popular with so many.) The song "Back Where I Come From.." LOVE IT! My siter and I always sing it at the topof our lungs at every KC concert, and we have been to a few. Here are the lyrics in case you don't know :
Well in the town where I was raised,
the clock ticks and the cattle graze.
Time passed with amazing grace
back where I come from.
You could lie on a riverbank,
or paint your name on a water tank,
miscount all the beers you drank
back where I come from.
Back where I come fromwhere
I'll be when it's said and done.
well I'm proud as anyone,
That's where I come from.
We learned in a Sunday school
who made the sun shine through.
I know who made the moon shine too
back, where I come from.
Blue eyes on a Saturday night,
tan legs in the broad daylight.
TV’s, they were black and white
back where I come from.
Back where I come fromwhere
I'll be when it's said and done.
Well I'm proud as anyone,
that's where I come from
Some say it's a backward place
narrow minds on the narrow way
but I make it a point to say
that's where I come from.
That's where I come from
where I'll be when it's said and done.
Well I’m proud as anyone,
that's where I come from.
Back where I come from
I'm an old tennessean (I prefer KENTUCKIAN) :)
Well I'm proud as anyone
that's where I come from!
That's where I come from
When I hit I-65 South heading an hour and a half HOME to Cave City (my parents, but I still call it home.) I just get this warm fuzzy feeling. I miss the country. The laid back, easy going, "ain't-gettin'-in-a-hurry-over-nuthin'", mentality. Life is short and fun. People are good. Work is hard. Rewards are amzing. I love where I come from. I will be back there when it's said and done.

If it's not too personal what did hubby have done. I've backtracked and it seems to be his back.
I was born and raised the last house in the head of the holler. It was just me and my brother, our sister came along 10 yrs later. We were so poor but we didn't know it. We always had food, didn't have a bathroom inside until 1972 because we didn't have water inside. I could write a book about my childhood. I wouldn't change a thing.
