Good Wednesday! This summer has been THE summer of requests for signs! Bridal, Baby, Birthday, Nursery, Bedroom, I have made so many that I seriously lost count a month ago!! Here are some of the ones for you to see!!

I seriously cannot believe how fast July got here! 2011 is over half way over people!!! Where did it go?!

Well, I love it when people ask me to create something new. It's just nice to let NEW creative ideas flow! I designed a custom bridal shower package for a customer and she wanted a pin for the Bride to wear while she was opening her gifts that matched the decor! Well, it took a bit of trial and error, but here is what I came up with!

I little shimmery tulle in the colors of the shower and wah-lah!

One day when my sister decides to settle down, I will have this bridal shower thing whipped!!! :)

Taking a mid day break today to go to the noon Zumba class. I think I need to to kick my Monday off right!!! I got a message from my "big sister" in my sorority. Her little girl was turning one and she asked me to make a banner and sign for her! Well sure!  Here is the way Lizzie's sign turned out! Can't wait until Jenny sends me the pics from the party!! Hey there! I know it seems like I fell off the face of the earth, but I didn't! I am sure you know all to well the hustle and bustle that is summer. Take that add a mini vaycay that got cut short, vacation bible school,  tball, etc. I have been blessed to have a very busy business and I have been working as much as possible, but still being the kind of mom I want to be! Matthew got to stay on vacation when I had to fly home early. He had a blast and I was so glad he got to stay.

Well, a lot has gone on around here!

We are very blessed though, so I don't let things get me down! HE has a plan and HE knows best!)

I was contacted by a sorority sister to make some fab decor for her son's birthday! Now granted we were at EKU at different times and have never met in person, but I feel as if I know her and I was excited to work with her!!!

What a CRAZY week.

It has been a crazy week around here.

Vacation Bible School at church, family in 4 different days, tball started, so practice and game, and of course I had to take Matthew swimming two afternoons to let him enjoy the beautiful day God gave us! Well, I wanted to show you something that happened last night. I was working on printing out shipping labels in the corner of my studio, and Matthew decided to crawl in the chair with me like he usually does. This time though- he fell asleep! LOL. Oh how I love this little guy! He is my gift from God! Can't wait to scrap this picture one day!!!

He was OUT like a light!!!! I finished, then took him to bed :) I love that he wants to be near me so much!!!

I have had a few people ask about seeing my studio and such!!! I will take some pictures soon and share!!! Nothing over the top, so don't get too excited, but it works perfect for me!!!

What a busy week it has been. Preschool ended, a death in the family, my mom is up to visit....CA- RAZY!! :)

Little ones change so much so fast! These pics were taken at LAST year's Preschool Derby! I can't wait to get this year's pics back so I can look at the differences

in "My Guy" !

I adore the Jillibean Soup alphas, MME Paper, Cosmo Cricket Ribbon, and Sasafrass Lass Paper Whimsies!

Now off I go to spend some time with my mom and my little guy. Then time to package up all nine projects being sent in for publication. It take s awhile to get all the product lists, suppliers, instructions and all that I use typed up, printed, and then the packing up of all the projects. Glad mom is here!! Enjoy your day. I love paper, but I also LOVE fabric :)

Most of you already know that! Well, my mom is the most gift seamstress. I love all the things she has taught me and we got to spend some time together last weekend designing and sewing these beauties. Let me just say-  God knew what he was doing when he gave me a boy. I would be broke as a joke. All you with little girls- God Bless You. ;)

My mom actually owns a baby boutique in my hometown and all these goodies and so much more is for sale there! We also opened an Etsy store recently and put these babies up in there! I am SO excited- Look what just arrived on my doorstep- 5 days earlier than expected might I add!!!

The new E2. It"s a little smaller than my Expression and a lot smaller than my Imagine.

Now I know there are a lot who don't live Provo Craft and some who are boycotting them. But I will be honest, I have never had a problem with them personally.

I have had to talk to Customer Service a couple times- once a rewards certificate missing and once about a replacement mat,(both of which I got in th email in just a few days)  but other than that, my machines have been used for 5-10 hours every single day for over 2 years and thank the good Lord, I haven't had issues. I am in the process of researching other commerical die cutters out there and will be purchasing one of those in the near future, but with my library of carts, I won't even go into that as I might get sick: ), I can't justify not using something that works for me on the basis of others dealings with the company.

So excited to see the new features and get it hooked up to my gypsy :)

We gave away a scholarship at my hometown high school FFA Banquet in my brother's memory like we always do. Then, the kids raised $1300 for Matt"s Scholarship fund. 2 kids received the Matt Monroe Star Greenhand award as well.

It's always bittersweet. I know he is proud of us, but so much of me wants him here and the words after his name during the presentation not to be "memorial".

We have 2 more scholarships to give in his memory this year. One for a high school football player and for a member of their church youth group.

I'm glad these kids will get the chance to go to school and further their education. I am  happy to know our family has something to do with that in honor of our missing part.

There is healing in helpong others.

On that note- so many prayers for our friends in the areas affected by these awful storms. The Ohio River here in Louisville has been a mess and business and offices evacuated and closed. BUT, that is nothing to what our dear friends to the south are dealing with. God bless you as you grieve loss of loved ones, praises as new survivors are found, and prayers for a brighter future my friends!

What. A. Day.

I know that immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it's really irritating when someone takes your ideas and down right copies them. Don't get me wrong, competition makes the business world go around, but today I was forwarded something that was just down right upsetting. Someone not only copied things I made (that doesn't really bug me as I know many have the ability to do what I do) and the kicker-

SHE EVEN COPIED MY DESCRIPTION, WORD FOR WORD. 

Okay. Make what you please, am fine with that, but at LEAST write your own description.  She deleted the things I had listed she did not make, but even down to the number of exclamation marks.  WOW.

I cannot imagine straight up copy and pasting someone elses descriptions.

I have been told of others who have obviouly taken a couple of my original ideas and started making them, but at least the other 2 ladies wrote their own descriptions.

Okay. I am off my soap box.

This is just another reason that when someone finds something they like somewhere else and bring it to me to make, I change it up and make it my own.

Off to enjoy the rest of this beautiful day with the cutest little boy I know :)

He's an original. That is for sure :)

Hi!

Hi everyone!!! Well,  I apologize for leaving you high and dry! SO much has been going on!I got to go to the FINAL FOUR. It was fabulous and didn't quite end the way I wanted :) (GO CATS!) but fun nonetheless :)

We also had a death in the family, a stomach bug, and preschool spring break.

LOL. My life is whirlwind sometimes!
I have mailed 189 packages in 2 weeks. Seriously. 189.

That's a lot of packages :) Blessed, and thankful for great customers.

Anyways, I know you guys have all had a lot going on too I am sure! Can't wait to catch up!!! I had planned on catching up on everyone's blogs while we spent several days in the hospital, but I had internet service for a while 30 minutes one day and that was it! Plan failed. SO, I am trying to catch up a few at a time!
