Elmers & Xacto Challenge Project REVEALED :)

Happy day everyone! Remember those FAB goodies Elemers sent me? (Don't forget that 3 of you still have time to win a prize pack from Elmers & Xacto yourself! Go HERE for details!)  In the case you don't I'll throw up a refresher pic :) Maybe b/c I am still excited :)
Anyways! The challenge issued was to create something that reflects us, our blog, etc. using these great goodies!
So, while brainstorming I knew I
*wanted to make something that:
promoted learning (since I LOVE to learb new things and teach what I know)
*had  a little flair for  the country since that is where I was born and raised
*something new to me!
*could be displayed and enjoyed (That's what I LOVE for all my creations to do!)
and of course- USE all these great goodies!
So I started with  a blank 16x20 canvas and gathered some of the goodies from the box I knew I would need! The glue runner (OKAY folks- I use MORE OF THESE than I can even tell you. I order the refills cases at a time. I am NOW a HUGE fan of this brand. The sticky is crazy good. Better than any other adhesive rummer I think I have ever used. Seriously. It's that good.) Anyways!- I also grabbed my Xacto craft knife and the swivel knife, the self healing mat, the adhesive sqaures, glue pen, gel pens, ruler, trimmer, scissors, and circle cutter!
Next, using my circle cutter I cut circles out of some denim paper, bandanna paper, and red/white gingham paper!
Next,  I trimmed up any edges with my craft knife!
Then I layered a couple of them and adhered together with the glue pen!
Then I took my die cut letters and arranged them on the canvas!
Then using thst FAB adhesive I told you about to put the letters on the board and add some of the circles!!
Using my Xacto trimmer and Xacto scissors, I cut some of the circles in half after measuring where  I wanted them cut with the Xacto ruler.  (Notice a pattern? LOL)
After I accented the circles with the fab gel pens, I finished adhering them to the canvas.
After I was all done, it turned out like THIS :
Finished Size is 16x20 and I love it!
It's new to me, a learning tool, a lil' country, a FAB piece of wall art for a child's room, and made with great goodies by Xacto and Elmers!
I hope you like it!!
 Have a GREAT day!!!

cute project - might have to do a "lift" for my little boys room that currently has completely BARE WALLS. Wonder how I could make this a little "pirate-y"?

I like how you included a picture of most of the steps. This will help others who want to create a similar project. I call this crafting with a bit of class(room).
