missin him...

No crafty post today. Today would have been my little brother's 23rd birthday and I always get choked up being so close to the holidays and such. I miss him so much everyday. I wish Matt was here to play with Matthew, my son, and teach him all the bad things that Bubba would know make my blood pressure boil. I wish I could have one more of his huge 6'2, 275 football armed bear hugs....Happy Birthday to you Bubba. I hope you are having one big celebration in heaven. I wil be back tomorrow guys. Love you and thank you for all your support.

Year in Review...

The next 2 days couldn't come fast enough for my little guy, lol. We had a great time yesterday at the homeless shelter and he was so great! I was really proud . Just wanted to share this LO with you today. During the hop at JuJuBee's we were asked to create a "Year in Review" LO. This is what I cam up with. The little picture were thumbnails I got from Shutterfly with my picture order. I thought it would be a cool way to show some of the things from 2009!

So Thankful...

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day thus far! My little guy and I are off to one of the local homeless shelter's today to take pillows, blankets, wrapped gifts, cookies, and more to those who come out. It is really imposrtant to me to start this tradition young. We go a few times a year, but ecspecially focus on Chrustmas time because kiddos can get caught up in the "gimme gimme gimme" and not enough in the "thank you thank you". There is a bigger picture to it all, and I want him to understand that. We have gone through his toys and pulled out boxes full to donate (We will take these in the spring since we have many this time from church members) He is most excited about singing and serving lunch :) So, wanted to share a LO I made last night :) I entered it into JuJuBee's Online crop, and it won :) The words on the flourish read "So Thankful" for him and so many other things...I am. TFL!

Super Sweet Banner :)

Happy Sunday everyone! It's the BIG week before Christmas :) Matthew is so excited he almost can't fall asleep at night, lol. 3 is a fun age for Chrismtas. However, he is too smart for his own good. He told Santa at preschool the other day that he forgot his glasses and his hat was pointed up to high. (this was in comparision to the Santa at the mall. (can't you see me with my hand on my forehead saying- "Matthew quit picking apart Sant and tell him what you want!") LOL. Now on with the crafty chit chat you came here for!! ANother cutsey banner for you today! This was for a 1 year old's CandyLand themed birthday! Loved the bright colors and way it turned out!!

Flashback Friday- Bundle of Joy

Welcome to Flashback Friday! I have a love for pretty embellishments I hoard >/strike> save them for special occasions :) I made these a while back and loved them. I debated forever whether to keep them or make them into tags to sell. The latter won. And they quickly found their way into a package heading to Elsmere, Kentucky. The little stamped sentiment is from Papertry Ink and the paper was from my scrap stash. A little cuting and some pearlls and they were easy peasy! So, now for the Flashback Friday question: What's your idea of the perfect baby shower gift? Maybe it was one you have gotten or given? Share! Mine: I loved getting clothes that were NOT 6 months or smaller, lol. I loved getting mega packs of diapers, and I LOVED my monogrammed items. He had a blanket that said Aunt Sissy loves me, a burp cloth that said "Heading to Nana and Papa's, another "Go Yankees" & "Don't let your babies grow up to be Red Sox fans" and so many more.. :) Can't wait to read your comments!!!

Does anyone......

Does anyone have a basket or tray on their desk that looks like this??? It has all the little stuff that seems to collect, get left out, found, forgotten, etc in it. I think I am going to start making at least one project a week where I have to use 3 things from the Catch All Tray :) It has ribbon, buttons, paper scraps, crocheted flowers, mini note cards, punch outs, etc.... What does yours have in it??

Hey all! I have a layout to share today!! (Can ou believe it I scrapped a LO on time!! This was just a couple weeks ago. We took Matthew to see Santa for the first time. He was so excited. Flashback Friday- Sweet Tweets

Welcome to my Flashback Friday post! I was so in love with these cuties I called Sweet Tweets when I started making them, but I soon became bored with them :) lol. However, I did sell several in my Etsy Shop and gave several away. I think I may have to make some more soon! So, now for the Flashback Friday question: Do you have a favorite bird? I love Blue Birds! Cardnials are KY's state bird, but with it also being the mascot of UofL, I can't stomach it, lol. (My hubby is the UofL fan, I bleed Blue- Go Kentucky!) Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don't need an appt... :)

Long day guys! Dustin isn't feeling very well and thinks something is still not right from the surgery 2 weeks ago. We are waiting on a call back from our surgeon now, UGH! No crafting so far today, but I do On the other hand- I do have a pic to share :) This cute lil ornament card will find it's was to someone special soon!
